Friends History
The Friends of Wyuka began in 2002 when Ginny
Hand and Earlene Knox organized the Wyuka Historical Foundation Auxiliary to
support the historic cemetery’s preservation. Since that time, this group of
volunteers has donated hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars
to preservation projects.
In 2010 the Auxiliary officially changed
its name to the Friends of Wyuka to better represent the organization’s
mission.
Friends lead tours, welcome school groups,
work outside and help in the office. Whether you are interested in active
participation in the Friends or you would just like to help insure that
Wyuka remains beautiful for future generations your support in greatly
appreciated. Please become a member so that the work of the Friends can
continue.
